About
I'm Jason Delgado, a comedian and actor based in Los Angeles. I was born in the Bronx to a Puerto Rican family, which meant loud holidays, rice and beans on rotation, and an aunt who could end an argument just by looking at you.
Then we moved to the suburbs: quiet streets, perfect lawns, and neighbors who wave instead of yell. I had to learn a second language fast. It's called Polite.
Now I'm not Puerto Rican enough for the Bronx, and not suburban enough for the cul-de-sac. I'm Sorta-Rican, and it turns out that's a great seat from which to notice what's funny about everybody.
On stage I turn daily annoyances into full scenes, with the voices, the faces and the act-outs. I'm a single guy in my 40s in Los Angeles, trying to relate to the kids and the grown-ups in the same room, and I usually get a laugh from both.
